The Cheer Team will be hosting Mini Bulldogs Cheer Camp on Thursday, 9/30, 5-6 PM & 10/9, 4:30-5:30 PM! Campers will be taught cheers that they are invited to perform with the varsity cheerleaders during the first half of the homecoming football game on Friday, October 10th.
Register by 9/20 to guarantee shirt size.

This morning, our students lined Central Avenue holding up colorful signs filled with encouragement, kindness, and hope as classmates made their way to school. It was such a powerful reminder that even the smallest gestures of positivity can make a big difference.
A huge thank you to Mrs. Roig and Mrs. Tillett for organizing this meaningful event in connection with Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Your leadership helps our students understand the importance of lifting one another up.

Each year, we are amazed by the kindness of our community. This school year, we’ve received generous school supply donations from the SKP Park of Sutherlin, private donors, J Lindeen Brown State Farm Insurance, and First American Title. 🎒✏️📚
These donations go directly into the hands of our students and teachers—helping to fill backpacks, stock classrooms, and support our student-run Care Closet. The impact is immediate and powerful: more students with the tools they need to learn and thrive.
Thank you to everyone who continues to show up for our schools with boxes, bags, and backpacks full of supplies. What a wonderful community we live in. 💙🐾

Our hallways and classrooms are full again, and it feels great to see students ready to learn and grow. Thank you for your patience as we navigate new bus routes, build routines, and practice new skills (including our “no phones” policy).
As we head into the weekend, just a few quick reminders:
Bus Routines: Expect a little extra time as routes continue to settle. Thank you for your patience at drop-off and pick-up. Schoolwide Routines: Students are already showing growth in adapting to classroom expectations and transitions.
Devices: Please help us by reinforcing our no-phone policy at home—it makes a difference for focus and connection during the day.
We are grateful for our students, staff, and families. Here’s to a strong start and an even better year ahead! 💙🐾
From kindergarten to senior year, our first week was filled with smiles, friendships, and fresh starts. We loved seeing brothers and sisters, new friends, and solo smiles—all ready for an amazing school year.

The 2025–26 school year begins today! We’re welcoming Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th, and 9th graders across the district, with all other students joining tomorrow. Unless you have a student at SVOA- they all start today!
🚦 A gentle reminder: Transportation, drop-off, and pick-up will take longer than usual during the first few weeks—thank you for your patience and for prioritizing student safety.

As we begin the new school year, we want to remind our entire community to help keep our students safe as they travel to and from school.
✅ Drivers — Please Remember:
🚸 Slow down near school zones and bus stops
🚫 STOP when the red lights are flashing and the stop arm is out
⏱️ Be patient — student safety is worth the wait
🔁 Never pass a school bus on the right
👀 Watch for students crossing the street, especially in early mornings and afternoons
🧒 Families — Please Review with Students:
🟡 Wait in a safe place away from the road
🟡 Always cross in front of the bus when loading or unloading
🟡 Listen to your bus driver — they’re there to keep you safe!
🟡 Stay seated and keep your hands and belongings inside the bus
📚 At Sutherlin Schools, safety is our top priority. Let’s work together—drivers, parents, students, and staff—to ensure every child arrives at school and home safely.
