The Sutherlin School District is looking for a few new employees. We have several part-time instructional assistant positions available. The 24-hour workweek schedule is perfect for parents looking for the same schedule as their children. Please give us a call; we will happily talk to you about this opportunity!

This is a reminder that this Wednesday 3/30 is school exclusion day for those without required vaccinations. All student vaccination records must be up to date by this Wednesday at the start of class at 8:00 AM, or students will be sent home. If you have questions regarding your student's vaccination status, feel free to contact the SMS office at 541-459-2668.

The Sutherlin Middle School Booster Club has spent the last four years raising money to replace the bleachers at the middle school. Finally, that hard work has paid off, and crews are busy installing safe and functional bleachers. We appreciate the hard work of the booster club board and all the community support on this project!

Spring Break is a great time for cleaning projects. We want to say thank you to our community for making the installation of a brand new set of bleachers in our gym possible. Installation starts today and will hopefully be finished this week. Thank you Bulldog Family!

Just a reminder: There is still school tomorrow for Middle School students and there is no school Friday. Parent teacher conferences are after school tomorrow night, and Friday morning until 12:00. Conferences will be held in-person in the Activity Center. If you'd like to schedule a conference, please call the front office and we'd be happy to set up a time for you.

Mr. Merrell’s outdoor living class is all about finding new hobbies and outside of the electronic world. When the class starts in winter, the outdoor part can be a challenge, but that’s when teachers and students get creative. This week Mr. Merrell’s class hosted “Minute to Win It” games in the AC for all three grade levels to join. Thanks for a great time Mr. Merrell and outdoor living!
