The Sutherlin School District is looking for two bus drivers to join our wonderful team of drivers.
• Possess valid Oregon Class B Driver’s license with “S” and “P” endorsements preferred but willing to train.
• Meet all bus driver training requirements described in Chapter 3 of the Revised Oregon Pupil Transportation Manual.
• 15 hours behind-the-wheel training.
• 8 hours of first aid instruction with a valid 1st Aid Card • 25 hours of classroom instruction
• Physical examination – finalist must pass the district-approved physical examination, drug test, driving, criminal records check, and fingerprint check.
• Possess a valid medical certificate (issued by Oregon)
$18.32 to 21.25 per hour, depending on experience. Approximately 17.5 hours per week. With full benefits (Medical, Dental, and Vision paid up to $1,393 per month)

The school year might be ending soon, but there's still time for fourth graders to get outside! The Every Kid Outdoors program grants free-access to all 4th grade students and their family members to over 2,000 federally-managed lands and waters for exploration. For more information on how to obtain a voucher for your 4th grade student visit https://www.fs.usda.gov/learn/kids/everykid. The vouchers for current fourth grade students will expire on August 31st, 2022.

We are looking for the perfect third grade teacher!
Dear Wonderful West Families, West students are getting ready to do State Testing next week. We fondly call this week of celebration, "Testing Palooza." During the morning, we will be working our brains like crazy and will need snacks. If the afternoon we will be doing fun activities to celebrate our growth and learning this year. We could use your help by getting your child to bed early, eating good food, and giving them lots of words of encouragement. We could also use some snack donations for our kids. We plan to feed 300 kids snacks twice a day for four days! :) Please drop off any donations to the front office. Thank you!
