Our Sutherlin Valley Online Academy Director was honored with the President's Award at the Sutherlin First Citizen Banquet. Sue works tirelessly on behalf of our online students; we are thankful to have her. Not only does Sue make things happen for SVOA, but she is also instrumental in the success of many Sutherlin civic and community events. SHS Wood shop, SHS FFA, and Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Umpqua Valley worked together today to build 50 beds for youth in our community. We love seeing our students learn new skills and give back to their community. Thanks to everyone who volunteered and Harbor Freight Tools for Schools for supporting this service project!
We have all sorts of new life hatching in kindergarten! Chicks, butterflies and praying mantis! Our students are curious and learning from these fun spring experiences. Thanks Mrs. Bracken.

This year's Symphonic Band rounded out festival season last week with a diverse set of music performed with heart at the League Band Festival. While they scored 60 points higher at this festival (that's a lot of points in the band world), this group has grown in ways that are immeasurable as well. Attitude, effort, and dedication are the things that set this group apart. Way to go, Bulldogs! Can't wait for next festival season!
