Lot's of fun was had for our end of year PTO fundraiser Fun Run!! Thank you Wailani Shaved Ice for the special treat after our students ran so hard! Thank you all for your participation and helping to keep our PTO supported for all they have done for us.
Sutherlin Choir came to give us a concert this morning. They did a spectacular job and we had so much fun! Great job Sutherlin Choir!

Yes, Chunk and Wilbur really did each get a kiss!!
Oh the fun we have had here at East with our farm theme and with reading "Charlotte's Web". Today we had a special visit from Wilbur and Chunk. A couple of lucky staff members were chosen to give Wilbur and Chunk a kiss. Our always good sported custodian Mr. Court received the most votes and earned $123 to purchase future books for our schoolwide reading events. Mrs. Lupton was the second lucky winner. Thank you families for helping us raise over $330 to help purchase our next set of books. A fun time was had by all!
More fun at River Forks Park with Mrs. Casey's class!
Mrs. Casey's end of year fieldtrip to River Forks park was full of giggles, bubbles, sunshine and good times.
What a beautiful day for the annual (FFA) Food for America field day organized by the Intro to Ag classes at the high school. Our East Primary Bullpups were so engaged as they learned about where their food comes from with stations that included pigs, goats, sheep, ducks, chickens, horses, tractors and a drone. The high school students did an amazing job, they were organized, well spoken and super polite. We are so thankful for this partnership and the awesome opportunity to bring this hands on learning event back year after year!
Our piggie is getting ready for his kissing date! Bring them coins/dollars in to pick your "winner". Going to be a great time for the kids, we aren't to sure if the winner will be as thrilled.
The STEAM Extravaganza is a fun family event.
It is Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Umpqua Community College
Looking forward to starting our reading this evening. Day one of the fourteen days we get to share our Charlotte's Web story with our families. Attached is a recommended schedule to spread out the days and enjoy the book together.
School lunch hero day! We are SO thankful for our cafeteria staff who work endlessly during the school year and continuing on in the summer to make sure our children have the ability to have healthy meals. Thank you Christy, Denise, Tomi and Dan!
