Sutherlin East Primary School

Greetings Families!

Our cookie dough pick up will be on Monday, November 10 from 5 to 7 PM. Pick will be on 4th Street, behind East Primary School by the gym door. Our usual pick-up line for the end of the day.

Please stay in your vehicle and volunteers will bring cookie dough boxes to you.

All orders must be picked up during this time frame. PTO can’t save orders at the school.

Boom, Clap, Grab! Mrs. McCracken's kindergartners are having a blast learning their 3D shapes with this fun, movement-filled game! Here's how it works: 👏🏻Boom - Tap your knees. 👏🏻Clap - Clap your hands. 👏🏻Grab - Pick up a 3D shape when it's called out! Each time students hear the name of a shape like sphere, cube, or cone they "grab" that shape from the pile. It's a perfect mix of rhythm, motion, and hands-on learning that keeps everyone smiling and moving while reinforcing shape recognition. Reminder to Sutherlin Families - In observance of Veterans' Day on Tuesday, November 11, schools will be closed.

In the Sutherlin School District, our school days begin with the Pledge of Allegiance. At East Primary, student leaders have the opportunity to lead the pledge every Wednesday.

This morning’s leader was kindergartner Kellen Kitzrow, who did a wonderful job helping our school start the day with pride and respect! 💙🐾

Last Friday, Officer McGarvey presented his anti-bullying pledge at an all-school assembly. All students committed to help East be bully-free. Then, of course, we dressed him up like a mummy!

The Storybook Pumpkin Patch at East is growing and growing! We have some awesome book-themed decorated pumpkins. Can you guess who this is?

East is hosting an Open House for those who are interested in becoming a substitute teacher. Come join our amazing team!

East 1st Graders attended a field trip to the Pumpkin Patch last week where they saw farm animals, ate delicious snacks and took home a pumpkin. A huge thank you to everyone at Bare Hill Farm for making it such a special day!
