📚☀️ **Summer School Success!** 🎉

We wrapped up summer school last week, and what an incredible few weeks it was! Our students packed in extra learning, built new skills, and had tons of fun along the way.

This year, we focused on **real-world experiences**—bringing learning to life through hands-on adventures. From exploring nature at **Ford’s Pond**, to getting up close with animals at **Wildlife Safari**, to practicing math and teamwork while **bowling**, our students saw how education connects to the world around them.

They strengthened core skills, discovered new passions, and proved that learning doesn’t stop in June—it just looks a little different in July!

🎉 The Unified Sports Kickball Team wrapped up a fantastic season with a final game full of laughter, teamwork, and community spirit! Last night’s matchup against staff and families was the perfect way to end the season—everyone had a blast! ⚽👏 We’re so proud of our athletes and grateful to all who came out to support and join in the fun! 💙 #UnifiedSports #Teamwork #InclusionMatters #KickballFun

👩‍🍳🍪 Our culinary classes with Mrs. Boehm and Mrs. Gary have been cooking up a storm this year — and last week’s sugar cookies were a sweet success! Sure, a little more frosting may have ended up in mouths than on cookies, but the laughter and fun made it all worth it. 😄 Throughout the year, these talented students have started every recipe from scratch, learning essential skills like reading a recipe, accurate measuring, kitchen safety, and food handling. From pasta and pizza to crepes, spaghetti, and more — they've done it all! We’re so proud of the confidence and creativity they’ve gained in the kitchen. 🍝🍕

🧱🤖 Our Lego Robotics class wrapped up the year with an incredible final project — and WOW, did our students impress! Their challenge was to design a scene that demonstrated a theme, used three motors, and incorporated two sensors. The results? Nothing short of amazing. From spinning suns and crashing waves to ice cream machines, Ferris wheels, shark tails, and more — the creativity and innovation on display were out of this world. 🌊🎡🍦☀️ These students aren’t just building with bricks — they’re building the future. We are so proud of their hard work, problem-solving skills, and brilliant ideas! 💡👏 #SutherlinProud #LegoRobotics #STEMatwork
