Sutherlin East Primary School

Do you know a child who will be entering Kindergarten next fall? Come learn how to help them be prepared to start school. Ready! For Kindergarten is a class offered to parents and caregivers who have a child entering Kindergarten in the Fall of 2023. It is designed to help you prepare your child for Kindergarten. It is an interactive class, and families will take home many hands-on activities and manipulatives to use for the learning process with their child. The series of classes will be held 3 times this year on January 26, February 23, and March 16 in the evening from 5:00-7:00pm at East Primary. Childcare and dinner will be provided. There will also be giveaways and prizes at each class! First day of bookfair/spirit week is off to a wonderful cozy start! We are seeing lots of fuzzy jammies! Tomorrow is bright colors or tie dye for lollipop day. Get your chances at a raffle mystery box $1 each ticket with all monies going for "all for books" program.

It's coming! So much fun to be had for bookfair week! Soon we will be in the land of sweets!

The Sutherlin School District has qualified for free meals for all students for the 2022-2023 school year. The Community Eligibility Provision allows us to feed the entire student body healthy, delicious, and FREE meals for the entire school year. However, we are not collecting free and reduced meal applications, and much of our district funding is based on income levels. Please take a few minutes to complete the NEW AND IMPROVED family income online survey, even if you turned in the paper version. The survey is completely confidential and easy to navigate. Reminder there is no school tomorrow Friday November 18th for Teacher in-service, then no school Monday(21st) Tuesday(22nd) or Wednesday(23rd) for Parent Teacher conferences. Then off Thursday (24th) and Friday(25th) for the Thanksgiving holiday. Returning to school on Monday the 28th. We look forward to seeing our families at conferences, if you haven't set up your conference please set one up through Parentvue or reach out to teacher or office so we can set you up with one. We hope you all have a wonderful break and holiday.

Picture retake day tomorrow. If you are wanting retakes, please send the original package back with your child and let teacher or office know so we can ensure they get their picture retaken. Those who were absent on picture day will get theirs taken. Thank you.

Picture retake day at East will be Tuesday, November 15th. If your child was absent on Picture day they will have their picture taken. The office has order forms ( you can reach out to teacher to send one home with your student) or you may order online with order code EVT4JQ9G7. If you wish to have retakes please send the picture package to school with your child on retake day and notify teacher so they are aware.
