Monday, we will be starting our Holiday Food Drive, the collection boxes are ready. The food drive will run Oct 31- Nov 14 with the goal of collecting enough food for 30 boxes. Fifteen boxes for Thanksgiving and 15 boxes for Christmas. Donations will be displayed in the library, the grade level with the most will have the honor of holding the coveted rubber turkey trophy. Go Bulldog Pups!!
Preschool: Boxed desserts
Kinder: Tomato sauce, cream of mushroom and cream of chicken soups, green beans, French onions.
1st Grade: Pinto or black beans, cranberry sauce, canned sweet potato, fruit cocktail, boxed dessert mix
2nd Grade: Instant potatoes, gravy, boxed stuffing, canned vegetables, rice.
What a fun week the first graders have had building Song Bird Nest Boxes with the high school students at the high school woodshop. A huge thank you to Josh Gary, the high school wood shop students and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife for providing this opportunity! The first graders loved it, the smiles were endless!!
Sutherlin School District has an upcoming Conscious Discipline Workshop for Sutherlin parents and caregivers. Learn the techniques staff are using at school and implement them at home. The focus of this workshop is Visual Routines; you will leave the workshop with ready-to-use ideas. Please follow the link to join us on November 14th or November 15th from 5:30-7:00 PM. Expect dinner, childcare, and raffle items!

First grade had a visit from Saving Grace and they decided to have a bullpup donation drive after their visit. Thank you ALL for the generous donations for Saving Grace. It was totally PAWSOME to help out all of the animals at Saving Grace. On Monday, we will be dropping off all of the donations and $238! Our first graders donated $119 and the entire cash donation was matched by Mike Boehm at Farmers Insurance in Sutherlin. Thank you for making this a success!
