Angela Hooker

Angela Hooker is a long-time Douglas County educator with experience teaching in both public school and non-profit settings. She graduated from Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin in 2003 with a BS in Environmental Studies and with an emphasis in Community Organizing and Volunteerism. After a brief stint as an educational assistant in Glide, Oregon, she fell in love with teaching and earned her Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Oregon in 2008. Angela has taught in several school districts in Douglas County as a 6-12 STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics) Educator with training and practice in Trauma-Informed Education. In addition, she has volunteered as an instructor with Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center, and with Douglas County Search and Rescue. She currently serves on the Umpqua Valley Farm to School (UVF2S) board and with the Douglas County Regional Educator’s Network.
