Veterans Day, formerly Armistice Day, was initially set as a U.S. legal holiday to honor the end of World War I, which officially took place on November 11, 1918. In 1938, through an act of Congress, November 11th was made a legal holiday.
Today, we honor all who served in our armed forces and say thank you.

Access to ParentVue is a vital tool to support students as they gain positive school habits. As a parent, you will be able to see how students are doing in each class. The Sutherlin Firefighter’s Association, Sutherlin School District, and Sutherlin Lions Club Christmas Assistance Program is open and taking applications. Printed applications are available at all the schools and the district office.

What a great first week of classes! Our attendance numbers are up. We are so happy to welcome our returning and new students into the buildings. Our bus routines improved daily, and we will be up to speed by the end of next week. We appreciate your patience and understanding. We have a long four-day weekend ahead of us, with no school on Friday, 9/1 & Monday, 9/4. We will see everyone on Tuesday, September 5th.
Buses will be back on the roads Monday Morning- please be cautious and obey the traffic laws. We want to keep our kids safe as they travel to school.
