Beginning May 9th, our school will be participating in a school wide shared reading event! Every family at East and West school will receive a copy of the same book, Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White - families will be asked to read the book together at home following the same schedule. I know you will enjoy this special reading time with your family. I am excited to hear all about the adventures of Fern and Wilbur and the lessons imparted by a noble spider.

East Primary is so thankful for our teaching staff! We are having fun showing them the love with a week of goodies. Every day is a new treat, today's treat is a snack trolley that is making it's way through the halls for teachers to pick snacks and beverages. Thank you all for your continued support and care for our students.

​Two Sutherlin educators were honored at the 66th annual Sutherlin First Citizens Banquet. Our district administrative team chose these educators; they are outstanding teachers and leaders. Jennifer Ball is our eighth-grade math teacher, and Laura Casey is our primary developmental learning center teacher. We are proud to honor both teachers!

Cuteness overload! Our High School CTE program built two sandboxes for our East Preschool students. The kids got to play in the sand today, and they LOVED it! It is always great to see our older students helping our little ones. These sandboxes will be a wonderful addition to our preschool playground. Thanks, woodshop and Mr. Gary!
